The situation frequency inverter need be equipped with filters:

1). When the disturbance to the frequency inverter is large, for example, the harmonic current is large, or the current is not clean, there is power generation or leakage backlash, it should be equipped with input filter or output filter.

2). Look at the use of occasions, such as high degree of automation, the use of PLC, touch screen, or computer screen control, this occasion will generally use filters, afraid of interfering with others.

3). Look at the usage environment，If the frequency inverter is used in computer room, there will be interference, and it will be equipped with input filter or output filter.

The situation frequency inverter need be equipped with reactor:

1). Voltage instability requires input reactor.

2). When the motor is far away from the frequency inverter, it will lead to signal failure. It needs output reactor to help boost the voltage.

PS: Input reactor and output reactor are not necessarily matched at the same time. But the standard is that both input and output can be matched.

Q: What’s the difference of line interactive UPS and Inverter?
